In 2012 the city of Buenos Aires hosted a design competition directed at the creation of a space dedicated to the exhibition of contemporary art; specifically that of Argentinian artists. Our focus during the design process was Argentinian culture, and creating space which could simultaneously act as generator and armature for the substance which makes up comtemporary Argentinian culture. Central to this endeavor was to situate our design within the context of the site, both physically and symbolically.
