The existing home, situated on a corner lot, underwent a significant addition and remodel to improve its functional spaces and create a new identity. The existing structure was wrapped with the new program, seamlessly blending the existing and new spaces. The backyard was opened up to the interior, providing a functional connection between the two. The shape of the roofs was designed to create a dynamic, stepping profile along the street, resulting in a new identity for the entire building. The design emphasized the seamless integration of old and new, creating a harmonious and functional space that meets the needs of its inhabitants.
