Nestled along an East-to-West access, this home maximizes its breathtaking views of the adjacent golf course and surrounding neighborhood. The home's design is inspired by the sun's movement and the prevailing breeze, leading to a high-performing passive design. The exterior blends large volumes and shapes with expansive glass areas to create a harmonious and private composition. The stepped roof design, cut into three flat sections, follows the site's slope and enhances the home's profile. The roof extends outward strategically to regulate heat gain inside the home. It also provides a practical use of two private roof decks with 360-degree views of the monumental Franklin Mountains and El Paso, TX.

At the request of the clients, we designed a house that could be expanded over time by adding on to the house in phases. The home's design features a flexible floor plan with adaptable spaces that can easily be reconfigured in the future, and the use of modular construction techniques and easily accessible utility lines will allow for seamless additions to the home as needed. Additionally, the home's foundation has been designed with future expansion in mind, with additional reinforcing and footings installed to support additional weight.

Overall, the design of this house takes advantage of its stunning surroundings and provides the clients with the ability to expand and evolve the home to meet their changing needs over time.
